The Social and Behavioral Sciences Department celebrates Black History Month annually in February. 
There is a guest speaker, visiting dignitaries, dinner and entertainment. 

The focus of this event is to unite the community and inform them about African-American culture. 
The annual event has been very successful. The event is open to the public.
